A Hopeful Story

Julie Whitt survived lymphoma when she was nineteen, but the treatment trashed her lungs. She just received her double lung transplant today after being placed on the wait list on November 21. That is less than a month on the wait list. Wow.

You can read all about her at her blog. You’ll notice that her posts stop rather abruptly on Thursday.

Update: In a tragic turn of events Julie passed away today (Dec 19) after complications from her transplant.

Julie’s bleeding profusely, receiving a hundred units of blood, on a heart-lung bypass machine, and listed in extremely critical condition. She’s in surgery right now. Please send your thoughts and prayers her way.
